Those twins show love by being safe in their actions, and thinking logically. Stan and Mabel, however, would take as many risks as possible to save their loved ones, no matter how dangerous their circumstances are: Stan does not turn off the portal so he can save Ford, Mabel doesn't press the button because she trusts Stan. Both sets of twins think they know better than the other.
